Eastman Chemical Profit More Than Doubles
Eastman Chemical Co. (EMN) said Thursday after the markets closed that its second quarter profit more than doubled from last year, as sales jumped 38% amid a continued rebound in global demand. The company's quarterly earnings p0er share, excluding items, also handily beat analysts' estimate. At the same time, the company forecast third quarter earnings above analysts' current consensus estimate and raised its earnings forecast for the full year.
